Award-winning developer Allied London, owners of Spinningfields, Manchester, is set to expand its Spinningfields brand by creating an exciting, new dedicated in-house marketing, PR and events team headed up by Luisa d’Aprano, who has previously worked with Manchester United, Williams F1, Nike, Aon and BMW.

Spinningfields has more than earned its stripes as one of Europe’s leading business quarters as well as one of Manchester’s most popular destinations to work, eat, drink and shop. It serves visitor numbers of over 5.5 million people per year, as well as housing an ever-growing office population of over 17,000 resident workers, and a retail and leisure turnover in excess of £80million per annum.

Spinningfields is now in its final stages of development with pioneering commercial buildings, XYZ and No.1 Spinningfields completing on the estate in 2016 and 2017 respectively, both of which will be complimented by elevated marketing activity.

Michael Ingall, Chief Executive of Allied London said: “The Spinningfields brand is synonymous with success and quality and has a tremendous following. We have worked hard over the last five years to establish Spinningfields as the destination for food and drink and have generated significant new leisure offerings. We are continuing that strategy but adding to that by focusing our current phase of development on delivering what will be without doubt the city’s two best new commercial buildings.”

“It’s time now to expand on the Spinningfields brand, capitalize on the various marketing opportunities and ensure Spinningfields remains the very best commercial area within the city of Manchester.”

We have invested in new talented people to achieve this including Spinningfields Estates Director, Chris Reay, PR Manager, Daisy Barnes and Commercial Project Manager, Rochelle Silverstein, as well as Luisa d’Aprano and her incoming team.”

2016 will see a wide variety of new events taking place on site that will offer something totally unique for the city. These will encompass consumer as well as corporate events, which will come from new brand, Spinningfields Life.

Chris Reay, Spinningfields Estate Director, added:  “I am delighted to welcome Luisa to the Spinningfields team and her experience of brand-building and world-class activations will support us in evolving the Spinningfields’ brand, as we continue to reach out to regional, national and international audiences.”
