London Road’s first large-scale public event, Made Here, took place on 10th September and was a one of a kind event that celebrated and showcased the cream of Manchester’s designers. 25 of the best makers and creators came together alongside local street food heroes, food & drink producers, six fantastic Manchester bands and the finest local DJs. The old Fire Station was transformed into a one day festival that attracted over 4000 guests throughout the day and evening.

“I think the event was really special for those involved and everyone visiting. It was amazing to see the crowds of people coming in and queuing down the street. Some of my regular customers came down to see it and told me how impressed they were by the event. Lots of people mentioned to me how special it was for them and how much the building meant to them. Also, that this was the first time the place had been used for an event [for decades] made it feel really special. Thank you so much it was brilliant to be involved in such a prestigious event”

“It was just fantastic. The building, the atmosphere, the music, all of it! The footfall was also superb… The whole event felt very well run. I loved it. I’ve wanted to see inside that building for years (along with most of Manchester) so to be part of the event that opened it up to the public was a huge thrill for me. Unforgettable.”

Sarah Ritson, The Glass Gardener

“We had such an amazing & successful time in such an iconic building.

Out of all the events & exhibitions I have done over the last 25 years, the Made Here event is at the top of the tree. Very well organised and executed in such short period of time, we feel it was massive success & look forward to working with you both on your next project”
