The Brunswick has long been
recognised internationally as an archetype of urban mixed-use
development, combining in a single building 52,885 sq m
(569,250 sq ft) of residential, retail and leisure use,
together with car parking.
Allied London has prepared a major programme of redevelopment
and refurbishment that will transform the fabric and life
of this landmark building. The project will create the high
street for Bloomsbury, providing 15,770 sq m (169,530 sq ft)
of shops and restaurants across a range of sizes with prominent
frontages to a landscaped pedestrian thoroughfare.
In regenerating The Brunswick, Allied London is honouring
the scheme's original intention - to create flexibility, with
buildings not as monuments but as part of an organic whole,
capable of growth and change.
