Allied London acquired St Christopher's Place along with a nearby group of small retail outlets known as the Collonades in 1998. The relatively new shopping centre was largely dysfunctional and semi vacant (although well let) and considered a failed project. Allied London's subsequent programme of asset management, repositioning and leasing created a highly successful new fashion and restaurant area for the town with an excellent tenant line up and doubling of rental income. The project was sold in 2003, six months after completion.
